Dog Collar Cell Phone With GPS
This dog Collar from PetsMobility has got to be the neatest high-tech collar for dogs I have seen yet. It is a two-way cell phone with GPS, built into a collar that your dog can wear.
With the two-way cell phone, you can call your pet and talk to them from any phone. The phone on the collar will automatically answer and allow your pet to hear your voice. I suppose with the two way your dog could potentially bark back, or if he/she is lost someone near him could respond.
For me, the GPS part of this is really the kicker. The obvious part is that you can track your pet with your PC, a PDA or 3G phone. So, if your pet gets lost you can track them down with the GPS signal.
But it gets cooler.
You can also program the GPS collar to have a perimeter around your yard (a geo-fence) with the associated software, so if your pet wanders outside of the permimeter it will notifiy you. Also, you can have it track your pets movements and send a signal every so often so you can see exactly where your pet has been.
