The gentle leader is NOT a muzzle. While wearing this, your dog and easily eat and drink, fetch balls or frisbees and anything else they could normally do - except when you pull on the leash and cause his mouth to close.
I know people who have tried multiple different types of leashes and collars and have been very happy with the gentle leader. The Gentle Leader does not cause the dog any pain, and it’s unique design helps train their dog to behave and even has helped train them to sit.
It works by putting a light amount of pressure on the muzzle and back of the neck of your dog. This is similar to the way another dog might grasp the mouth of a subordinate dogs muzzle in a pack. It comes with an instructional DVD and comes in multiple sizes.
