The tracking device uses signals from 4 seperate satellites and the GSM mobile network for phones. You can use a PDA or smartphone with the tracking software and call the phone number assigned to your GPS tracking colloar for your dog. When you call it activates the collar and sends a signal immediately to tell you where your dog is within a 15 meter radius.
This is a very rugged, waterproof and proven GPS collar that works great for hunting dogs or any other outdoor activity where you think you may get seperated from your pet.
